Question by The Dude: What does this quote mean? “A jury consists of 12 people chosen to decide who has the better lawyer”?
I’m having a little trouble finding the meaning and values of this quote by Robert Frost.

“A jury consists of 12 people chosen to decide who has the better lawyer”

I think, when I first read it, that he was taking a shot at a jury, or more-so the system of how trials are resolved.

i would say its kind of like a joke. although its not entirely true but someone in the jury can make their decision by seeing who has the better lawyer… maybe who is more rich, who looks better, who makes a better statement.. it all depends. sometimes people really do use this as a judgment. look at all those tv shows where all the rich guys always win because of just their lawyer– not even if their guilty or not
