Question by iDream: What’s the least and most amount of time someone would have to stay in Mexico for after I-130?
I filed for my husband back in Nov 2009 and we just sent out the Affidavit of Support, actually for the second time because of some confusion with our “lawyer”. Anyway what’s the least, average and most amount of time my husband will be in Mexico before being granted his Visa to come back into the US?

    Hello,

Since you are from Mexico the time frame will be longer. I think there are several other countries that have many applicants like China, Philippines, India and Mexico. Since it’s your husband, you should have a advantage over other applicants.

Anyway, after the I-30 approved by the USCIS, you going have to wait for a Visa number. you may use this link to read about the processing time for Visa numbers http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.ht
