Question by Teresita Davidson: Is A Lawyer Who Practices Law Solo Considered A Law Firm?
I noticed that many lawyers who practice solo use the term “law firm” on their website. Is a single lawyer considered a law firm? On Wikipedia it says it is but on a dictionary website it says that it’s a firm of “lawyers” which is obviously plural. Which is it?

If a lawyer has formed a legal entity (e.g., corporation, professional corporation, limited liability company, etc.), even if it only has one licensed/practicing attorney, then the entity may still be considered a “law firm.”
