What would happen if a lawyer bails out in the middle of a case?

The court ordered the lawyer of the petitioner to write the court papers and we received it a month later. We don’t agree to what the lawyer have wrote on the papers and it requires our signature to be finalized, we tried to contact the lawyer to ask the questions but no luck, as we found out that the lawyer bailed out of the case after writing the court order. He wont return our calls and petitioner wont talk to us either. What can we do to the court papers? should we go back to court to straighten this out? Please help!
